Katy Perry "Tired of Being Famous" : Who Should Stop Complaining About Fame?

     I've recently read this article, "Katy Perry 'Tired of Being Famous': Who Should Stop Complaining about Fame?" and it's explaining how Katy Perry feels about being famous. She said that when she meets her fans and they are cry she finds it disgusting. She thinks fame can compliment you and it can attack you as well. She says when her fans are crying she says “stop crying, there’s no reason for you to be crying”. And she also feels since she is famous there will be a lot of people that hate/criticize her music and she stays that she doesn’t care about that. It just makes her work harder.

     When I heard about this, it grabbed my attention and I to find out what was going on. I was interested to find out that there was at least one celebrity who had some humility left. She doesn’t understand why people cry over her. She’s just a person just like anyone else only difference is she has a contract and her voice is spectacular.  I agree with her when she questions why her fans cry for her. I mean they cry over her like she’s some kind of savior and I’m not talking about just Katy Perry fans I’m talking about all of these celebrities and their fans. All I know is if I meet a celebrity I like I’m not going to be crying over them. I’ll be just as cool as I am when I’m with my friends.

Philadelphia 4-year-old Shoots Himself

      

I've recently read this article by Maria Panaritis, a Philadelphia Inquirer Staff Writer called, and Philadelphia 4-year-old shoots himself. This article is about how a four year old shot himself in the chest with a gun he found under his mothers' pillow. The four year old did not die but was in critical condition. As far as police can tell it was accidental and no charges has been brought against the mother because she had a permit for the firearm.

Reading this article has made me think why his mother isn’t held accountable for her actions? Although she had the gun legally if she would have placed the gun in a difficult place to find so that her son wouldn't have got hurt. Although he is alive and recovering things could have been a lot worst and at the end of the day this woman could have lost her son because of her careless behavior.

When I read that was the only thing I could think of because I've never heard of anything like this it’s just mind blowing that this woman can just walk free. I believe that race had a lot to do with how they handled this because of the color skin she had they made sure everyone understood it was an accident but if her skin was a few shades darker she would have been said to be neglectful.
